Enriching Creator Circle Through A Tri-City Journey
From the bustling metropolis of Tokyo to the historical charm of Kyoto, ending at the energetic hub of Ho Chi Minh City, the BlockchainSpace team recently embarked on a whirlwind Creator Circle Tour from June 22 to July 8, 2023, where we met with ceators, gamers, game developers, and communities to learn more about their needs and aspirations.
Our journey was an insightful mix of learning and networking, aimed at bridging the gap between creators, gamers, game developers, and communities of all kinds. We sought to glean invaluable insights directly from them, with an eye to refine Creator Circle in order to cater to their needs in the most effective way.
The tour kicked off with NFTokyo on June 22–23. The event brought together an international audience interested to explore the potential of blockchain technology.
We engaged in insightful discussions with a myriad of creators and industry insiders, including a pivotal meeting with Yasutoshi Nishimura, Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI). This was an excellent opportunity to discuss our vision for the Creator Circle, and talk about potential collaborations and policy measures that could support the development of the gaming and creator industries in Japan.
We shared the stage with Pacific Meta, Kyuzan, and BreederDAO for a panel discussion, addressing the future of Web3 gaming infrastructures and potential solutions to the present issues.
Following our event, we held a Twitter Spaces AMA session to answer questions from our community and discuss our 2023 objectives. We also shared our excitement about the growing adoption of Web3 in Japan, where major companies are already integrating Web3 into their systems and processes. We believe that Japan is well-positioned to become a leader in the Web3 space, and we are committed to supporting this growth.
Our next destination was Kyoto, where we attended Japan’s largest startup conference, IVS Kyoto, from June 28–30. The BlockchainSpace team presented Creator Circle to a broader audience of leaders in Kyoto’s tech scene, sparking interest in the initiative, jumpstarting insightful conversations, fostering relationships that will lead to fruitful collaborations in the future.
Ho Chi Minh City was the final stop on our tour, where we attended the GM Vietnam event on July 7–8. This was an opportunity to dive deep into the vibrant tech and artistic scene of Vietnam. We connected BlockchainSpace ecosystem partners with our esports arm, Metasports, and explored potential collaborations with regional artist collectives for potential collaborations. It has been truly thrilling working towards our commitment to building an international network of artists, developers, and creators — an essential aspect of enriching Creator Circle.
Throughout this tri-city tour, we had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with industry giants, emerging talents, and passionate enthusiasts alike. The insights and experiences gleaned from these encounters have been invaluable, helping us to further refine Creator Circle and other initiatives.
With each stop, we made new connections, fostered deeper relationships, and broadened our understanding of the diverse needs and aspirations of the creator community.
Peter Ing, Co-Founder and CEO of BlockchainSpace, sees this tour as an essential milestone in our journey, saying, “These events provided us an incredible opportunity to interact with the community we serve. The insights and experiences we gained will undoubtedly shape the development of Creator Circle. We’re more determined than ever to build a future where creators are empowered, creativity is rewarded, and collaboration is the norm.”
While the tour has ended, our mission continues. We look forward to fostering an environment where innovation thrives, and the Creator Circle continues to grow. Stay tuned for more updates on where we’re headed next!
