BlockchainSpace Appoints Aspen Sañez as New Head of Marketing

BlockchainSpace is excited to announce its appointment of Aspen Sañez as its new Head of Marketing. Aspen brings with him a wealth of experience in telecommunications, talent, content and media, having spent over a decade running multiple launches and integrated marketing communications strategies for multiple segments.

Prior to joining BlockchainSpace, Aspen served as AVP for Corporate Brand Strategy for Smart Communications, a telecommunications and technology company out of the Philippines, where he commercially launched 5G in the Philippines. He was also Head of OTT for Cignal, the media arm of one of the largest conglomerates in the Philippines, the MVP Group. During his time at Cignal, Aspen led the initiative of the MVP group to Esports as a cornerstone interest segment for the conglomerate. With this, he led the business architecture of the country’s first franchise-based esports league, The Nationals, which in turn led to the creation of Cignal Ultra and Smart Omega, the group’s two esports organizations.

Aspen is also a long-standing advocate and event producer for independent music and international artist events in the country. His background includes a startup in the international concert production space, where he led tour management, marketing, and communications strategy for several high-profile artists, including Disclosure, The xx, Passion Pit, and Chvrches.

Aspen also co-founded Sonic Boom Philippines, a music management and events company that focused on growing independent musicians from all over the country from 2006 to 2010. The company pioneered inter-regional events within the country and led the international showcasing of regional rock talents to festivals in the SEA region.

His leadership and expertise will help take BlockchainSpace’s marketing efforts to the next level as the company grows its focus to the wider creator economy.
